Coaching

Coaching is a method used to help people develop that focuses on insight into oneself and strengthening existing qualities. The style we use is both questioning (non-directive) and directive, depending on the necessity and the objective. We ask questions that expand the current perspective and shed new light on existing themes. If necessary, we are directive in doing so. We look at the relationships between behaviour, cognition and motivation.

Pentacompany uses three types of coaching:

  • Competence coaching
This involves people who wish to be coached exclusively for certain competences, such as empathy, powers of persuasion or assertiveness.
  • Counselling
This involves people with insufficient insight into their motivation, ambitions and qualities in terms of management or in relation to important career choices. It may also involve people who are continually confronted by a similar type of problem.
  • Boardroom consulting
We act as a sparring partner for management teams and boards, in particular concerning human resources strategy, corporate strategy & culture and the board's personal performance.

Action plan
Following the intake meeting, the average length of our coaching processes is approximately 6 sessions. The coaching process is often based on a personal development plan drawn up after an assessment. This plan defines the specific objectives of the coaching. If the objectives have not yet been defined, then they are drawn up in consultation between the participant and the coach. The objectives are recorded in a contract.
